John Shukin

johnshukin.tumblr.com

John is 22 years old and studies design, art, and philosophy. He walks, reads, thinks, and makes what seems right and feels good. Inspiration arises from people, back alleys, and dinner parties. John also likes animal trails and the way trees, ferns, and mushrooms grow together. He wonders if we could ever live like that.
John’s practice is an attempt at being alive through a truly tangible investment in life. He tries to care for the people, plants, animals, objects, and situations around him, and lets them create the work. Thus, this practice is actually a non-practice or, in other words, the eternal collaboration with other beings that he feels have something valuable from which we can learn.

She pursues a multilayered design that reflects the cultural durability of our versatile society.
