About:

As a graphic designer, it is my responsibility to pay attention to everyday problems, then look for elegant solutions. I defined my problem as “things I use everyday seem too new and untouched” and I propose the concept of “noble wear” as my design solution.
Wear&tear is a valuable quality that develops over time on the things we use. However, modern commercial trends favor new, shiny things that can easily be replaced as soon as signs of wear and tear appear. This quick replacement cycle supports unsustainable modes of economic growth and also robs the users of opportunities to store memories within the surfaces of their things through continued use. “Noble wear” is a project that aims to restore our lost appreciation of use-wear.
