About:
(Collaboration with David Cox and Vincent Villemaire)
Our vision for this project is to capture moments shared by distinctive couples at a specific time of their relationship and communicate it in an interactive manner. We aim to reach our viewers at an emotional level by making them relive poignant stories belonging to real, actual people. This work focuses on the realization that we are never alone in our moments of happiness and sorrow, it is a social commentary on the relation between intimacy and experience sharing.
By presenting the viewers with rings they can interact with without any context, we invite them to speculate on the story they are aboutto witness, be it a story of beauty and passion or a tale of sadness and rejection, but there are no wrong pick. On the contrary, we want this piece to convey a positive message. After posting an ad on the internet to gather stories, it was impressive to see how many response we got (roughly three dozen within forty-eight hours) and how much people were willing to share very personal details about their love life. The theme of sharing is central in what we set to accomplish and we want the viewers to realize how everyday they walk among people with such unique love experiences and personal stories.
