Une idylle pour le prince des déchets
by Carl Bergeron-Gagnon
Une Idylle pour le Prince des Déchets is a short poem illustrated and inspired by pigeons. Providing visual representation of the concept of distance, which is often associated with the pigeon and its title of traveler.
It is a series 14 booklets that were manually printed in serigraphy in 5 colours, signed and numbered. The whole thing was hand-assembled like an accordion to allow the reader the freedom to open the work in its entirety.
The idea was to inspire people to change their attitude towards this small winged animal. We often see the pigeon like a flying rat, a pest that must be eradicated, but we easily forget it’s role in our history.
