Memories Through Light
by Victor Le
This night photography series is an ongoing project that I’ve been working on for about two years. My work explores the relationship between people and space.
My photographs can be described as moody and subtle, depicting life as cinematic stills. These photos can also be seen as a romanticization of the industrial and often overlooked segments of the city. Instead of using people as the main subject, I use empty spaces to create a sense of belonging. I play with compositions and symmetry to create a perspective that people don't usually see, emphasizing the colors and textures of the environment.
When it comes to exploring, I am interested in capturing visible and hidden spots that people don't usually investigate for a deeper understanding of their own city. These areas have so much history yet they're easily forgotten. We all pass by a place endless of times for our selfish needs, not for precious moments.
