Hani Kavehei is an environmental designer living in Montreal, Canada. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from Art and Architectural University in Tehran, Iran. After moving to Canada, she earned her second Bachelor of Environmental Design from OCAD University in Toronto. Currently, she is studying Digital Technology in Art and Design Practices at Concordia University. Her work experience in the field of architecture strengthened her learning in the market standards, creating technical drawings and 3D spaces, using different computer software such as Photoshop, AutoCAD, and 3DMax. As she was seeking the true value of design and how it affects the human life, she decided to work as a free-lance designer and come back to school to enrich her knowledge in design. Currently, she is working on the independent project “Redesigning the environment of the psychiatry department at the Jewish General Hospital.” The goals of this project are finding design issues and suggesting an idea or plan to improve the healing environment.
