Laurence’s years of experience as a design student at Ahuntsic College and at Concordia University have given her the tools to see how design brings communities together and how it rallies different perspectives into a common viewpoint. She is mainly interested in typography, photography, and graphic design as means of transforming complex ideas into meaningful and tangible experiences. Having engaged subjects as diverse as student rights, synaesthesia, women’s oppression, extreme tourism, and linguistic conflicts within multicultural societies, Laurence’s work takes a critical view of cultural, political, and social issues.
