Dina Bakalova

Being a designer is a privilege for Dina, to be part of a society that questions today’s wicked problems and strives towards finding ultimate, empathic solutions for them. Concordia’s Design program has taught her diverse methods of understanding and practising design. With the goal of creating meaningful design with the future in mind, Dina subjects her practice to the attention to details, precision of execution, and emotional and cultural empathy. She aims to go beyond the conventionality of a simple object; she wants her work to emit personality, to convey sentimental values and memories for its owners. She pursues a multilayered design that reflects the cultural durability of our versatile society.
