About:

As a designer I feel my role is to be a creative innovator. Experimentation is important in my work as I feel it is vital to my development. In order to be innovative and relevant, design needs to constantly monitor changing trends (both tech- nological trends and market-based trends). I feel sustainability and social responsibility in design is key, and needs to be considered in all stages of the design process. When applied to the real world however, I believe both are easily trumped by profit margins and marketability-design is an industry after all. In this regard I feel it is my role as a designer to push these ideals to the forefront when dealing with clients or other stakeholders.
