As a designer, I strive to create socially and environmentally sustainable experiences, interactions, programs and environments that address the social and educational needs and wants of a specific community by helping it become more self-sustaining. By providing relevant information and material, facilitating critical thinking, teaching skills, and creating an engaging atmosphere, I hope to improve the community members abilities and skills to meet the needs and wants of their community. My designs also attempt to inspire and encourage people to see themselves as stakeholders and get involved in their communities in order to make positive changes focused on social, environmental and/or educational sustainability. 109
